My mission is to provide sound advice and expert guidance for the placement of surety
bonds and risk management tailored to client-centered solutions. My goal is to serve
as our clients’ trusted advisor and business partner in all matters related to surety
bonding and construction insurance products and services.

Given the myriad of challenges in today’s marketplace, it takes a knowledgeable and
savvy surety professional to navigate both expected and unexpected obstacles that
clients face. Bonding support is a key element of clients’ overall financial capabilities,
so it is critical for me to proactively coordinate the process to maximize capacity, offer
competitive marketplace rates, and exceed service expectations. Our network of
talented professionals, market resources, and key relationships enhances our clients’
experience. As a high-level relationship manager, I take pride in fostering growth and
success for our clients while forming lasting relationships built on respect, integrity, and
trust.

What Do I Do?

As it is prerequisite to be a key advisor, I build relationships with clients and surety
markets on a foundation of open communication, trust, and care for both short-term
and long-term business objectives. Each client has a unique orientation, and through
my progressive, solutions-oriented methods, I achieve a win-win collaboration. My goal
is to deliver the desired outcome for our clients—not only what they want, but the way
they want it. As the go-to surety executive for each client, delivering successful
outcomes is the highlight of my role.

Surety Bonds—All 4 main surety types—Contract, Commercial, Judicial and
Miscellaneous, with specific expertise on Contract and Commercial Surety.

About Jim Legaux/Bio

Since 1997, Jim has been a surety and insurance producer and manager, offering a
comprehensive range of surety, insurance, and risk management products and
services. As of 2012, as practice leader, Jim leads the Surety and Bonding division of
Venture Pacific/ALKEME. He takes pride in providing full-service commercial and
contract surety programs, serving business owners who seek a responsive and trusted
professional advisor. Specializing in guiding clients through the complexities of surety,
Jim embraces all surety placement and risk management challenges. His approach,
combined with the resources and capabilities of the extensive ALKEME surety network
of A-rated, treasury-listed sureties, delivers the highest level of tailored client services
and programs.

Jim graduated from Cal State Fullerton in 1988 with a B.A. in Behavioral Sciences. He
continues to expand his interest in this field through extensive self-education. For the
past 30 years, he has been married to his wife, Karen, and they have three daughters:
Karissa, Brooke, and Natalie. Jim enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well
as traveling to the great outdoors for adventures such as biking, skiing, golfing, and
enjoying classic cars.
